Ever wonder what it would be like if things had turned out differently? Like, say, if the final battle between Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort had ended with Harry dead and Voldemort still very much alive? Well, that's just what happened.
Harry Potter was never that great a wizard. He was exceedingly lucky, and decently talented, but he was no real match for the Dark Lord. Now the Boy Who Lived is dead, just like his family, and everyone else that he knew and loved. All the Professors and all the wizards that came to oppose Lord Voldemort when the final assault on Hogwarts was conducted have been executed. Hogwarts itself has been cleansed of every memory of the happier days and reopened under the watchful eye of Lord Voldemort's right hand men.
The Dark Lord now rules all of wizardkind, but he has forestalled his ambitions with regards to Muggles for the moment. He is rebuilding his army, and where better to look than the upcoming wizard youth? Now Hogwarts is a place where only subjects that he sees fit to be taught are taught. It is a place where students learn magic in a way they could never have comprehended it before. Their true potential is being tapped, and there is no one left to stop it...
